ART FEST 2023
"A Celebration of the Arts Around the World!"
Saturday, April 29, 2023 | 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM
CALL FOR MULTICULTURAL BOOTHS & PERFORMERS!
DEADLINE TO REGISTER IS MARCH 22nd
Thank you for your interest in our upcoming Spring Art Fest. This year, our theme celebrates the arts around the world as well as the beauty and cultural diversity of our students. And as such, we are looking for families to host a booth or possibly do a performance that represents their country of heritage.
Suggestions on what you can do include, but are not limited to: perform and/or teach a cultural song or dance performance; host an informative booth display with cultural artifacts, information, fashion, a small game, a simple craft, and/or create a themed "tourist" photo opp setup, etc.
We have a Pinterest board HERE to help give you some possible ideas.
For any crafts, please keep in mind that simple is better. We are a large school so crafts that don't require a lot of prep work or drying time are ideal.
Booths will be grouped together by continents and our students will have the opportunity to get mini passports stamped at each country as they "travel" around and have fun exploring the arts around the world.
The PTSA can provide you with a canopy tent (wind permitting), tables, chairs, passport stamp supplies, as well as reimburse/cover the cost of any approved craft supplies. Families would be responsible for decorating and managing their booth, interacting with students who visit their booth, and assisting students with any craft or planned activity.
While we know you may not have all of the details worked out yet, please provide as much info as you can in the Google Form below. Submission of this form is not a guarantee of participation as we are still in the very early planning stages for the event. Once our Programs committee reviews all entries, we will be in touch with you regarding next steps.
For any other questions, please email Hazel at Hazel@ghctk8ptsa.org.
And thank you again for your interest.
