Granada Hills Charter TK-8 PTSA is thrilled to announce that we have teamed up with CHEER to put together a fun, educational, and authentic Chinese New Year celebration.
Join us on Friday, February 12th at 6:00 PM on Zoom to celebrate the Year of the Ox and Lunar New Year with an incredible lineup of family-friendly cultural activities including:
* Year of the Ox cultural presentations
* CHEER talent performances
* Cultural arts and crafts
* And even traditional dumpling making with our very own PTSA President Manfred Lam!

For the arts & crafts activities all that is needed to participate is: pencils, paper, markers (thicker tips are preferred), scissors, and glue.

Founded in October 2020, the Community for Holistic Education and Empowerment of Civic Responsibility (CHEER) is a San Fernando Valley-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides educational resources, cultural events, and community service opportunities for families and students. Originally formed in 2019 as a constituent of the San Fernando Valley Chinese Cultural Association, CHEER has since developed into an independently functioning organization that offers a friendly, inclusive environment and strives to preserve cultural legacy, while encouraging innovation and education throughout the community to further prepare peers for the modern world and its associated challenges.
CHEER Youth Group is a chapter of CHEER, operated by students for students, and provides a wide accessible range of educational opportunities, services, and activities designed to promote civic engagement and strengthen the development of leadership skills.
